Of the 43 million American adults who struggle with low literacy, two-thirds are women. The Literacy Alliance of Northeast Florida’s goal is to shine a light and raise awareness all month long. From the trailblazers within the community to the women who made history books, one thing is certain: women can do anything. 

Education and literacy directly impacts a woman’s confidence to complete every day tasks, try a new skill, apply for jobs and even go back to school. These barriers are why so many may feel stuck or stagnant in the workforce or in their personal lives.
