AmeriCorps Member Quentin shares information with potential students at an outreach event.
AmeriCorps, through Volunteer Florida, renewed its support of the Litearcy Alliance’s AmeriCorps program known as Adult Literacy Corps! Each year, AmeriCorps Members sign up for national service with many nonprofit organizations throughout the state in partnership with Volunteer Florida. With the Literacy Alliance, Members support small-group teachers for adult literacy and GED prep classes as well as provide one-on-one tutoring for adult learners needing short-term support for specific learning goals. With this renewed partnership, the Literacy Alliance enters into its fourth year of implementing this national service initiative.
