Learning at the Literacy Alliance is a family affair! Dollar General Invests in adult education and family literacy.
Dollar General, the premier corporate supporter of adult literacy, announced its support of two Literacy Alliance efforts. The Dollar General Literacy Foundation renewed its support of our core adult literacy program and announced a new grant for the expanding Family Literacy Initiative.
Through both of these grants, the Literacy Alliance will enroll more adult learners from the New Town neighborhood and expand the family literacy program that provides coaching for adult learners who are also parents on learning together with their children of any age.
Each Summer, Dollar General conducts the Yellow Glasses Project to promote awareness about the need for adult literacy, family literacy, and adult education. Sales of the glasses at the Dollar General stores go to funding grants to organizations like the Literacy Alliance. Get yours today!
