Attention Families with Children in VPK – 5th grade!
The Literacy Alliance of Northeast Florida is a Regional Partner of the New Worlds Reading Initiative, Florida’s free at-home literacy program that helps eligible VPK – 5th grade students strengthen literacy skills and nurture a lifelong love of reading.
Each month during the school year, kids can receive a free book they choose with resources and activities for caregivers and children to use together. Books and materials are available in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole and braille.

New Worlds Reading is administered by the UF Lastinger Center for Learning. Book titles are selected in partnership with the Florida Department of Education and Scholastic.
