Research into the field of adult literacy is deep. The most influential outcome measurement project conducted is by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
The most recent OECD report on adult literacy and skill building was just released, and among its recommendations is one the Literacy Alliance has already been pioneering. The report shares that, “Adaptability is key; education and training need to become more accessible by reducing barriers to lifelong learning, including more modular, targeted courses and online options.”
The Literacy Alliance has embodied this recommendation for several years with its focus on creating more access to learning through customized, individualized, and flexible instructional options for adult learners. Read more of the report here.
